About Us
After 10 successful years of corporate event planning and
catering, The Sweet Potato Pie Factory, launched a
healthy, nutritious, and delicious lunch program for
early childhood education students. Our first year
included providing daily lunches for the students and
staff at Davidson Day School. The Sweet Potato Pie
Factory is now expanding our lunch program services to
additional daycares, private schools, and other in-house
lunch based programs. We welcome the opportunity to
meet with you to explore partnering opportunities with
your organization.
We are a family owned business based in Concord, North
Carolina. Our business values and practices are
based upon Christian Biblical principles. Our goal is
to provide the highest quality offering to our clients,
while maintaining a commitment to excellence, and the
communities that we serve. |

Safe & Nutritious Meals
Food Safety and Sanitation are given the highest priority
at our company. Our company receives quarterly
inspections from the Concord Health Alliance
inspectors. Our sanitation score is maintained at a
98.5% or higher at all times. In addition to these
standards, our staff is trained in food safety, and
sanitation practices to insure that all food is handled,
stored, and served in the safest manner possible.
In addition to these measures, The Sweet Potato Pie
Factory has trained personnel in ServSafe principles. Our
company has never had an occurrence of any unsafe food
related incidences in our 10 years in business. We do
however maintain a $2M liability insurance policy in the
unlikely event that insurance is needed.
Nutrition is also given the highest priority at our
company. Our foods are prepared fresh each day in
our kitchens, and are transported to our schools in a
NSF approved food safety containers. Our food is
made with fresh ingredients, and with no additional
preservatives or additives. |

Healthy & Delicious
Our meals are delicious and healthy because we design menus that are fun, appealing to our students,
and nutritious. Each of our meals include a: hot
entree, a green vegetable or salad, bread or roll, and
a healthy snack. We do on occasion also offer cake,
cupcakes, brownies, pudding, and other sweet
snacks. And no lunch program would be complete
without a Pizza Day. Even our Pizza Days are offered
with a fresh salad or green vegetable and fruit as
a healthy side dish.
We also offer additional meal choices of boxed lunches,
salad bars, and boxed salad and vegetarian cold meals.
Sodas are not included in our refreshment offerings. We
offer 1% white and chocolate milk, punch, lemonade,
and sweet tea for our students. Some schools also
ask us to provide bottled water for their students. |

A Wide Range of
Choices for every age level!
Our menus are designed to offer a balanced and appealing
hot lunch for every age group ranging from pre-school to
high school. Our menus can be segmented by age level,
or one standard lunch can be provided daily with portion
sizes adjusted appropriately based on the student
population that we're serving.
Some of our students favorite meal choices are lasagna,
breakfast for lunch, BBQ chicken, cheeseburgers, and
more. |

Improve Student Performance
Nourishment and Good Nutrition have an incredible impact
on our students ability to thrive in their academic
environment's.
Since our lunch menus are designed to provide the
right balance of protein, healthy carbohydrates,
vegetables and fruit; our students tell us that they
are much more alert and attentive throughout the rest
of their day at school. We have even received
comments from some of the teachers at our
schools about how alert and attentive their students
are who have eaten our healthy and delicious meals. |

offering that maintains all the NC state guidelines
for nutrition, safety, delivery, and packaging.

cost effective way to provide balanced and delicious

Our lunch program is designed to be a completely out the
box turn key solution. Our Executive Chef leads a team
of lunch program professionals who are trained to
deliver, dispense, and maintain a complete lunch program
for our schools. We are very sensitive to the demands
on our teachers and staff to maintain a school that
fosters learning, safety, and socialization. Our
program is very easy to administer because our
professional staff can not only manage the daily rigors
of running a lunch program, but also maintains open
communication with the school staff, its students and
families to insure that our program is meeting and
exceeding the requirements of our school's community.
Our office and administrative staff is also available to
create menus; manage communication with City and County
health department officials; third party vendors, and
more. Our billing systems are also fully automated and
can easily be integrated to any QuickBooks based
accounting system.
Finally, our emphasis on maintaining a win-win
relationship with our schools are the cornerstone of our
strategy and success. Our team approach fosters an
environment whereby every party is mutually successful. |
